Your tasks
\\n
\\n
\\n
\\n Located at the Paul Scherrer Institut, a new high power, radiofrequency (RF) test facility is under development within the IFAST collaboration. The facility will be the home of two new RF guns, which are designed to be the electron sources for the next generation of particle accelerators.\\n
\\n
\\n You will work with the primary investigator of this project on the development of a novel electron source based on the field-emission process. The project will involve detailed modelling of beam dynamics within the RF gun and investigating the possibilities of high current beams for applications such as medical accelerators. Furthermore, you will have the chance to participate in the initial high-power conditioning of the RF gun at the test facility.\\n
