Beschreibung For our international medical partner, F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG in Basel, we are looking for a qualified and motivated SMF SHE Manager for a temporary contract until 2030.
Basel is the only site with SM DS development and commercial manufacturing capabilities in the Roche Manufacturing Network. Most of the assets are aged or overaged and are located in four older buildings (B.29, B.31, B.50 and B.62). PT decided to invest into modern assets moving towards the factory of the future. Leveraging modular, flexible assets and digitalization will help to support the Pharma Vision and deliver according the PT performance promises. The new assets shall be realized in a refurbished B.50 and a new B.51 on the plot of the existing B.66. The planning and later the realization of all projects of the complex SMF program shall be in full compliance to the Swiss regulations and the Roche guidelines regarding safety and sustainability aspects. The SMF program started early this year and will continue until 2030. With the end of the SMF program, this position will end.
We are looking for the SHE-Manager, a member of the Program Management Team, who is responsible for all aspects of SHE in the SMF-projects, e.g. Deconstruction of B.66 including all decoupling sub-projects, new B.51, refurbishment of B.50, realization of all new assets as well the transfer of some existing assets and adopting the site infrastructure for the SMF need.
The SHE Manger creates the safety concepts needed, moderates and conducts risks workshops. The person takes care that the high health and environmental requirements are fulfilled. The position holder is the partner in the SMF program who is a mentor, reviewer and challenging person to all the mentioned aspects. The SMF SHE Manager is a key member of the project management team, responsible that all SMF projects are compliant with the SHE requirements including the sustainability goals from Roche directives & standards, and other statutory requirements beginning in the early project phase until the final handover to the user organization.
Tasks
Single point of contact within the SMF program with regard to SHE (Incl. SHE Audits and Inspections)
The SHE Manger is responsible that all SHE required documents are on time and in the quality needed available and approved
The SHE Manager ensures increased safety awareness and compliance with environmental protection regulations as well as achieving optimal sustainability
Gather SHE related requirements from users and Site SHE Officers, including legal requirements and Roche Corporate Directives
Proactively consult SME and disciplines related Site SHE experts (e.g. industrial hygiene, fire safety) to collect input and requirements
Check fire safety design with Group Insurance for projects
Communicate with project team to ensure that all design documents comply with SHE requirements
Develop SHE deliverables, coordinate milestones and tasks within all SMF projects, in particular:
SHE concept development
SHE Review / SHE Ready for Start Up inspection preparation and participation
Strongly support the elaboration of sustainability concepts for the SMF projects
Lead the Suscon Tool
Participate and/or facilitate SHE risk assessments
Organize and lead SHE Reviews in co-operation with the Site SHE organization and Engineering as well as with the user organization
Share SHE-learnings and expertise across the projects and our community
Support and review the elaboration of construction site installations and logistics
Proactively verify the SHE related manpower need and coordinates the work
Coordinates the construction site safety and supports the Construction Safety Expert
Construction Safety will be managed by a Construction Safety Expert reporting to the SMF Project Managers (Deconstruction B.66, New B.51 and B.50 PM) and dotted line to the SHE Manager
The SHE Manager reports to the SMF Project Manager
Must Haves
Bachelor or Master/University degree in engineering, chemistry, pharmacist, etc.
SHE related qualification(s), ideal in larger CAPEX projects
Min. 5 years work experience in SHE related functions
Experience in the area explosion safety for building installation and manufacturing equipment
Experience with primary manufacturing processes (API DS experience) in a GMP regulated environment
Ability to coordinate internal/external SME and authorities
Ability to moderate workshops and inspire people
Fluent in both English and German
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Very good analytical skills
