Senior Systems Engineer

For our international medical partner, Roche Diagnostics Int Ltd based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Senior Systems Engineer for one year with option for extension.

In our organization CoreLab Automation Engineering (diagnostics laboratory automation) we provide innovative automation solutions supporting Diagnostic Laboratories to optimize their workflow/intra-logistic processes, which results in an improvement in testing efficiency, service to clinicians and provided patient care. With the most complete portfolio in the market, we offer the best-customized solution for every lab (low-, mid- and high-volume laboratories). To ensure interoperability and operability of our Workflow Products we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz.

Tasks

• Technical responsibility in key systems engineering disciplines for the development of systems or complex system components
• Technical responsibility for systems engineering deliverables such as requirements, architecture, concept assessments, facilities, configuration management, or business impact accounting (CoGP, development cost, cost of service impact)

Lead and be responsible for requirements elicitation for the system or complex system component, including oversight of participating system engineers * Requirements engineering (elicitation, analysis, elaboration, validation) and its facilitation (visualization, alternative views, scenarios, meetings, peer reviews) in the appropriate stakeholder language, with responsibility for ensuring consistency between the different levels of requirements (PRQ, TRQ, USP) by creating the different levels and supporting their creation, including the appropriate levels of detail (use cases, quality attributes, constraints, external interfaces, and non-functional requirements)

• Requirements management (documentation, tracing) in the appropriate requirements management tool (input, maintenance) and timely availability of milestone requirements documentation and requirements traceability information to also track requirements status throughout the project
• Contribute to and review system concepts and system models in close collaboration with system development disciplines
• Responsible for the decomposition and architectural concepts of the system or system component(s), including logical and physical architectures and associated views (mechanical/electrical/software, service, cybersecurity, reagent, assay)
• Management of technical interfaces to other systems or system components (consumables, reagents) with appropriate stakeholders and interfaces to customer environments (e.g., LIS, LMW)
• Evaluate different concepts in different dimensions (requirements, feasibility/risk, usability, reuse of platform elements, COGP, development costs, RAMS engineering...).
• Responsible for the assessment of technical risks during product realization and their mitigation.
• Responsible for configuration management
• Management of external partners, including writing specifications, reviewing and accepting work deliverables
• Expert project management knowledge to plan and manage the development project
• Collaborate with other functions within and outside the project on cross-functional activities, e.g., HW and SW engineering, operations, or customer support

Must Haves

• Bachelor\\\'s or Master\\\'s degree in electrical, mechanical or software engineering.
• Mind. 5 years of experience as a senior systems engineer or in a comparable technical leadership position
• Mind. 5 years of experience and knowledge of relevant systems engineering processes and methodologies, especially requirements engineering, architecture definition, V&V
• Professional experience and ability to influence and drive decisions in cross-functional, multi-cultural teams across multiple locations and in collaboration with external partners is a plus
• Experience and proven track record in a regulated environment, preferably in the diagnostics or medical laboratory automation industry
• You are a hands-on and interactive individual with an affinity for hardware and software
• You have excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
• Very good written and spoken English, German is an advantage
