We are looking for an experienced Solution Designer for the design and implementation of customer facing business applications and the development of an open and flexible platform.
As a member of an IT Development Team, you will design technology and infrastructure solutions to support new projects composed of in-house and third-part software components. You will also provide guidance on interfaces based on Open API (JSON API) specification. Another essential task where you contribute your knowledge and expertise is supporting software projects in other areas, where you provide advice and guidance.

What You Will Do

• design solutions (software application components, infrastructure and components interactions) while adhering to security and compliance requirements and software development standards
• deliver evaluations on software solutions as well as recommendations on make or buy
• prepare high-level effort and cost estimations for new projects, required technology solutions or integration of third-party frameworks/components
• advice and support for the implementation of IT solutions (specific application components, security, authorization & authentication concepts and infrastructure)
• interact with other stakeholders: Enterprise/Domain Architects, Development Team, Testers and Security Partner

What You Bring

• minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in solution design, application security concepts and authorization & authentication standards (OAuth2/OpenID), ideally in the financial services industry
• extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in: Java (Spring Boot), Databases (RDMS & NoSQL DBs), IBM MQ, streaming processing (Kafka), Rest API Design and DevOps tools and frameworks (CI/CD) is mandatory
• very good understanding of microservice architecture patterns and different infrastructure types and their architecture requirements: IaaS, PaaS (desired: OpenShift), Public Cloud (Azure, AWS)
• strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses and manage dependencies and risks
• fluency in English (verbal & writing), German is a plus
