The Opportunity

At Worldline, we\\\'re passionate about building software that processes financial transactions of credit card owners and banks at large scale. We count on our SRE team to empower users with a rich feature set, high availability, and stellar performance level to pursue their missions. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle DBA to join our SRE team in the payment world. This role involves primarily performance tuning and query optimization for our database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in Oracle Database Management Systems and Database Performance Tuning.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities\\xe2\\x80\\x8b

• Perform regular database performance analysis and optimization
• Design and implement database performance tuning strategies to enhance system performance
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues
• Ensure databases meet performance targets and SLAs
• Manage indexes and other database objects to optimize database performance
• Monitor and analyze SQL query performance
• Provide input and support into database release management processes
• Identify and resolve database performance issues
• Provide technical support to development teams within the organization
• Create and maintain database performance benchmarks
• Participate in database architecture design and optimization efforts

Who Are We Looking For

• Bachelor\\\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in Oracle Database Administration and Performance Tuning
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
• Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and query optimization techniques
• Experienced in deploying and managing databases in large-scale systems
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning tools and techniques
• Experience in the Financial Industry is preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and team player
• Oracle Certifications in Database Administration or Performance Tuning are preferred

This role will require occasional off-hours work and participation in on-call rotations. The candidate must have the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision. The role is full-time, remote work is partly possible.
