\\n Greater Area Zurich-West / Position Summary: The Lead Network Engineering and Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of network engineers. This role requires extensive technical expertise in networking and information technology, as well as strong leadership and project management skills. The job holder will lead the design, engineering, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructure solutions, ensuring the highest level of performance, security, and reliability. Furthermore, the role will advise on customer requests for connectivity solutions.

Aufgaben

Team Leadership:

• Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to a team of network engineers.
• Build and maintain an effective and collaborative team environment.
• Define an assign in an agile way of working tasks and ensuring efficient resource allocation and workload balance.

Network Engineering, Architecture and Strategy:

• Lead the development of network engineering and architecture strategies and roadmap to align with business objectives.
• Design, implement and manage network infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, products, and services to enhance network capabilities.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to network design, architecture, and security.

Project Management and Customer Interactions:

• Plan, coordinate and manage network implementation projects as well as Customer requests from initiation to completion.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to budget and timeline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and security, to ensure seamless project execution.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members during project implementation and network troubleshooting.
• Resolve complex network-related issues, escalations, and incidents in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure the implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure aligns with the organization\\\'s requirements and standards.

Qualifikation

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor\\\'s or Master\\\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a network engineer and/or architect, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of network engineering, architecture, design, and implementation of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Proficient in network protocols, routing, switching, security, and VPN technologies.
• Profound knowledge in all network technologies.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Project management certifications, such as PMP or Prince2 and sourcing experience are desirable.
