This position is responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling the daily maintenance operations and activities to ensure project results are met within company budgetary and strategic requirements and as per agreed targets. The role also requires a focus on safety, customer service and employee performance.

Description/Tasks:

• Plan, monitor and manage workload capacity and project distribution to the Sheet Metal and NDT team and set priorities (manpower planning, holiday, contractors, work scope and budget review)
• Interact and coordinate with other departments to enable smooth project execution (Aircraft Team Managers, Project Management Organization, Supply Chain, external vendors)
• Share best practices and lessons learnt within own department and across the other teams
• Identify and organize investments for daily business improvement and cost savings
• Be fully accountable and responsible for the successful achievement of the cost center and personal KPIs
• Be fully accountable and responsible for maintaining company safety standards within own organization
• Be fully accountable and responsible for ensuring that customer\\xe2\\x80\\x99s assets are protected, and expectations are met
• Ensure that the company\\xe2\\x80\\x99s processes, policies, values and working practices are adhered to
• Fully accountable and responsible for the management, execution and performance of all job disciplines and roles within the Sheet Metal & NDT team
• Collaborate with Quality & Environment, Health and Safety department to investigate non-compliance and unsafe situations, define and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Support escalation and de-escalation topics to promote a culture within the team to resolve issues at the appropriate hierarchical level, provide support where needed and escalate to the next level as required
• Lead by example
• Be a proactive, forward-thinking individual that works to the best of their abilities to achieve personal goals, leading to the agreed team and company performance

• Manage employee performance, evaluate, delegate, and monitor activities and achievement

Qualification/Experience:

• Five years minimum of aviation management experience, with a Technical Degree or similar
• Five years practical experience at Jet Aviation or equivalent qualification and/or experience
• Successfully completed leadership training or assessment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proven ability to initiate, motivate and manage change
• Has demonstrated commercial thinking, understanding of budgeting, and successfully managing large teams (30-40 employees) within performance parameters
• PC literate with MS packages, proficiency in SAP
• Fluent English is a must, French and German are desirable
• Knowledge of aircraft structures, holding a Sheet Metal or NDT qualification (Swiss S-License or NDT Level 2/Level 3 certification) is a plus
