The Real Estate team in Switzerland provides workspaces, services, and infrastructure for one of the most important research, development, production, and distribution hubs of Novartis. Real Estate Switzerland supports more than 9`000 Swiss Novartis employees to make an important contribution to the success of Novartis.
The role supports the Head Real Estate & Capital Projects CH to ensure that all capital investments in our buildings, amenities and sites are satisfying the needs of the business, including technical optimization, financial optimization and controlling risks while being compliant with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
You will be responsible but not limited to:
Support the Head Real Estate & Capital Projects CH in managing the capital planning for all managed real estate investment projects and real estate programs of the Novartis Real Estate Team in Switzerland.
Work closely with the other teams within the Novartis Real Estate Team in Switzerland - like Facility Management and Infrastructure - as well as with HSE, stakeholders and external service providers to ensure alignment on project prioritization, delivery, and budget.
Manage a network of internal and external engineering SME\\\'s and support the Head Real Estate & Capital Projects CH with the necessary expertise in this field.
Develop project objectives (e.g. user requirement documents and project plans) and track implementation status.
Participate in discussions with internal business partners on priorities and timelines, real estate investment projects.
Create and update processes and procedures to drive operational efficiency and compliance.
Participate in operational excellence and continuous improvement efforts.
Manage performance of the external Real Estate partners / providers in Switzerland - drive and motivate project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
Project monitoring throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Communication with project participants.
Creation of reports.
Minimum requirements
Minimum requirements :
Successfully completed education in real estate project management or architecture (engineering or scientific bachelor\\\'s degree or equivalent experience)
Fluent both in German and English (spoken and written
5 years+ experience in the management of complex real estate investment projects and negotiation of real estate contracts
Excellent verbal and written (mails, letters, and power point) communication skills
Knowledge SIA regulations as well as health, safety, and environment regulations
Ability to lead, manage and influence direct and indirect reports and others to achieve the required outcomes
Analytical thinking skills
A self-driven personality with strong attention to detail
Additional qualification - e.g. LEAN - is a plus
Experience in a pharmaceutical or life science environment is a plus
Project experience in Switzerland is a plus
