Senior Legal Counsel M&A - Finance

The Legal & Regulatory team is responsible for all legal and regulatory matters related to the operations, services and business of SIX. We closely collaborate with business on day-to-day related matters, create and update contractual templates, negotiate with clients and partners, contribute legal advice in respect of M&A and other transactions, deal with HR and Intellectual Property related topics, manage litigations of the group and act as the point of contact for supervisory authorities - all in Switzerland and abroad. This wide range of legal topics requires members that are open-minded, interested in understanding the several business areas of the group, and willing to accept the challenge of regularly leaving one\\\'s own comfort zone. Co-operation with other team members in Zurich, Spain, France and the UK is key for us.
We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join this team as a Senior Legal Counsel M&A / Finance, reporting to the Head Group Legal. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders in Switzerland and abroad, hence getting an in-depth understanding of the strategy of the group, the individual business units and the projects envisaged to further develop services of SIX.
What You Will Do
advise the business and corporate functions on M&A, corporate restructurings and finance transactions, act as a center of excellence and provide expertise to internal stakeholders
keep track and analyze legal and regulatory developments related to M&A and Finance (new laws and regulations, court rulings, market standards) in Switzerland and the EU
determine relevancy for SIX and initiate timely implementation, provide input and legal expertise in consultations on new acts or other legislation, provide updates and education to other legal teams
advise the business and corporate functions on other group-wide topics, including vacation-related deputizing
engage, manage and supervise external lawyers
What You Bring
specialist with 3-5 years of relevant experience in M&A and finance transactions in a law firm or as an in-house counsel
law degree from a Swiss University and bar exam, postgraduate studies (LL.M.) are highly desirable
proactive working attitude coupled with open mindset and willingness to closely work with the business as well as a solution oriented approach with strong negotiation skills
high commitment, flexibility and a team player personality
professional German and English skills, Spanish and French are a plus
