About the Role
Become a part of one of the largest reinsurance groups in the world where you will work with colleagues across the globe to interpret new sustainability reporting requirements and develop and implement efficient solutions.
Key responsibilities
Provide insights on global ESG reporting standards and their impact on the Swiss Re Group and local legal entities around the world
Perform current state analysis and regulatory gap assessments across various ESG topic areas and work together with metric owners to close any gaps related to the reporting flows, process documentation or current state of controls
Ensure efficient and consistent approach to comply with regulatory requirements across various jurisdictions
Understand the implications on data, processes, and systems and assess internal methodologies against relevant standards or frameworks (e.g. Greenhouse Gas Protocol)
Support sustainability reporting and lead the completion of respective questionnaires such as CDP, Sustainalytics, MSCI
About the Team
We are a team of 10 people with diverse set of backgrounds and experiences proactively sharing knowledge and closely cooperating with colleagues in a broad range of functions, including Underwriting, Asset Management, Operations, Finance and Governance. We are responsible for external Group sustainability reporting, respond to sustainability-related questionnaires and support legal entity sustainability reporting.
About You
We are looking for YOU - A passionate team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, eager to learn and known for your strong analytical problem solving and project management skills. You can translate requirements into pragmatic solutions, taking initiative and ownership to implement them, using a collaborative approach.
Essentials
University graduate with 5+ years post qualification experience in sustainability regulation or reporting
Profound knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and standards including, CSRD, ISSB RBIcp, SEC, SFDR and EU Taxonomy with awareness of GRI, SASB and CDP
Outstanding proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
Experience within a Big 4 accounting firm, preferably with ESG/sustainability reporting advisory and assurance
Good understanding of (re)insurance business, both for underwriting/reinsurance and asset management
Strong background in sustainability or financial reporting and/or in completing or assessing sustainability questionnaires
