Role Purpose
The Sr. Director of Market Development, International, develops, leads & executes successful long-term market shaping and go-to market strategies including integrated commercial programs - integrating internal and external engagement, short- and long-term access strategies, partnerships, and corporate communications to improve patient awareness, access and affordability and drive equity of the Hologic portfolio and brand.
This role is a key member and advisor to the extended International Leadership team, leveraging their experience to build Hologic\\\'s enterprise relationships, brand, and reputation with government, community, and other influential organizations in support of important legal, regulatory, policy and industry priorities. You will support global efforts, co-creating and coordinating multi-geography external engagement programs. This is a diverse role, and no two days will be alike.
Market Development has enterprise portfolio and International geographic scope, with collaborative external engagement program responsibility in public & government affairs, brand & corporate communications, partner, market, channel (GAI, sales, marketing, market access) & stakeholder development as well as medical, clinical & scientific affairs.
Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Market Expansion & Segment Access Strategy: co-create and lead targeted cross-functional pre- and post-market external engagement programs in disease & care delivery strategic contexts, disease area and portfolio strategies.
Public & Government Affairs: develop and strengthen International and regional policy influence, particularly European Commission for EMEA, including identification and execution of key external economic, regulatory, legal, and political objectives enhancing Hologic\\\'s overall position.
Brand & Corporate Communications: develop wider influence and communication of brand and policy goals between Hologic, government organizations, and other key socio-economic stakeholders and influential partners to strengthen Hologic\\\'s access, equity, and engagement.
Partnership, Channel & Stakeholder Development: lead the strategic development, execution and governance of International pre- and post-market external engagement programs that will enhance Hologic\\\'s ability to shape disease state, clinical pathways, and treatment paradigms.
Thought Leadership: Lead the Science of Sure into the political, socio-economic environment enabling Hologic to build on strong science through broader strategic engagement.
Disease Area, Diagnostic & Treatment Strategy: monitor and provide strategic guidance on the evolution of care pathways, clinically integrated decision making and diagnostic screening & treatment delivery paradigms across the patient journey.
Influential Leadership: lead and execute through functional and local market leaders like marketing, market access, marketing operations and sales.
As the Senior Director for Market Development, you will:
Develop and guide long-term strategies for developing and shaping keys areas of international business together with cross-functional colleagues, leading with your strong environmental, market and customer understanding.
Partner with marketing, medical & scientific affairs, partnership development and local market access teams to identify and produce market shaping playbooks including thought-leadership relevant to the target market segments that showcases relevant HOLX insights, creating curiosity, driving engagement and advocacy.
Develop and shape early core disease patient journeys, diagnostic and treatment testing paradigms, and solution communication strategy.
Develop and implement a Market Development strategy including a Government Affairs approach for Hologic in Brussels or other priority markets in close collaboration with the Divisional Vice President(s), Strategic Development and Vice President, EU Commercial.
Maintain effective monitoring and analysis of major EU, CAN and APAC policy/legislative developments and initiatives relevant to Hologic and regularly communicate key updates to senior leaders.
Ideate strategies and shape stakeholder and partnership coalitions at the International and EU level with a view to broadening the understanding of and support for personalized and population-based screening, particularly in the context of improving routine healthcare, advancing women\\\'s health, and supporting the development of large-scale population screening and individualized treatment programs.
Ensure effective representation of Hologic in key industry associations.
Manage and coordinate closely with key internal stakeholders and external agencies across the broader Hologic public affairs agencies on key policy initiatives.
Identify strategic new opportunities expanding Hologic available market and on market product into new segments and geographies.
Lead pre-market commercial strategies for new product pipeline products and the early integrated marketing, medical & scientific affairs and local market access team efforts through go/no-go decision and local hand-off.
Support the International business on our journey to being a strategic partner to our markets, clients, and key prospects by embedding Hologic solutions into diagnostic and treatment workflows, creating a deeper understanding of customer strategy.
Partner cross-functionally to ensure organizational alignment around understanding of future disease states, decision making throughout the patient journey and care delivery context.
Co-author and review of commercial opportunity assessments with INTL, regional and local commercial leadership, including business cases to inform investment, ROI, and go/no-go decisions on market development programs.
Provide guidance and business inputs to marketing and medical & scientific affairs on the development of Target Product Profiles, Clinical Development Plans with strong emphasis on value demonstration for on market and future products.
Partner with the VPs Strategic Development in assessment of external opportunities, provide business input and strategic guidance on inorganic growth opportunities.
Work collaboratively with multiple global and affiliate functional and project team leaders, to ensure INTL Strategies reflect value to HOLX and value to society and be responsible for executing appropriate activities in collaboration with functional partners to ensure that goals are achieved.
What we\\\'re looking for:
10+ years of successful government, public and/or corporate affairs engagements across on high profile legal, regulatory, and public affairs initiatives.
5+ years of experience at international level, in major EU institutions or a major government affairs team is highly desirable.
Must have experiences in life sciences, pharmaceutical, therapeutic, and medical technology health policy.
Clear evidence of strategy and programmatically building a company\\\'s relationships and reputation across EU and International institutions and the political spectrum, working with and mentoring executives and experts to support multiple engagements.
Must have strong strategic acumen and be pragmatic in execution.
Experience coordinating internal teams across organizational boundaries and managing external public affairs, communications and other agencies and consultants.
Evidence of being highly team oriented, collaborative, and adept at developing trusting relationships with stakeholders; must be able to influence senior executives and focus on helping to educate the broader Hologic organization. Be a \\xe2\\x80\\x9ccompany-first\\xe2\\x80\\x9d leader.
Be able to function in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment; be able to lead in a balanced manner with poise, especially in ambiguous situations.
