\\n Vontobel is a globally operating investment manager. The Financial Engineering department within the Structured Products Center of Excellence is contributing significantly to the success of the company.
We are responsible for structuring and issuing more than 500000 financial products per year in a fully automated fashion all around the globe. We integrate models developed by the quants into the application stack and turn them into financial products. Furthermore we develop various tools for trading and risk management.
As a financial engineer within Vontobel you have a passion for high quality software engineering with a lot of quantitative elements. Our large scale platform is operated almost 24h a day in Europe and Asia and our team has members in Zurich and Singapore. When developing software we strive for perfection - if it just works it is usually not good enough.
We are completely responsible for our application stack and rely on state-of-the-art technology like a Git BitBucket/Bamboo CI/CD pipeline, Kafka for large scale data streams, OpenShift containers, Analytic tools like Splunk or messaging systems like RabbitMQ.
Your Opportunity
Design, implement and test software solutions to price and trade structured products
Develop trading tools for risk management and hedging
Work in an agile environment which lives a DevOps culture
Close collaboration with risk management, trading and quants
Take over support tasks (2nd level)
You bring
Minimum of 2-3 years of professional industry experience
University degree in an engineering science (M.Sc., Ph.D.)
Passion for software development in C# and Python
Proven track record of successful software development projects
Creative and innovative mindset
DevOps skills
You are
Interested in financial products
A communicative team player
Fluent in English, German is a plus
Willing to take ownership of your developed software solutions
