Job Description

Your mission:

To reinforce the Synechron Switzerland team, we are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer who is familiar with Loans and Stocks. Our mission is for one of our clients, a Major/global financial institution in Zurich.

Your responsibilities:

• Leading the development of monolithic Java applications, ensuring high-quality, performant code;
• Providing design direction for system architecture and components.
• Applying specialized knowledge in stocks and loans for efficient and compliant solutions;
• Overseeing code reviews and enforce coding standards for a robust codebase;
• Guiding and mentoring junior developers, fostering their growth;
• Implementing security measures and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements;
• Identifying and addressing production issues to maintain system reliability;
• Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

Qualifications

Your profile and skills:

The ideal candidate for this position has the following qualifications and characteristics:

• You possess a deep understanding of financial markets, including stocks and loans;
• You have at least 5 years of experience with Java programming, and Spring Framework;
• You possess expertise in designing and developing monolithic applications.
• You are well-versed in software design patterns and architectural principles.
• You are familiar with financial industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• You have experience with Docker and are familiar with deployment tools like Jenkins or Kubernetes;
• You have experience in working with databases, SQL, and data modeling;
• You are proficient in version control systems and collaboration tools like Git and JIRA.
• You speak English fluently;
• You have a Swiss Residency or EU/EFTA citizenship and willing to relocate to Zurich.
