The purpose of the role is to support the Head Legal Antitrust and to provide internal expertise in the field of antitrust/competition law, in particular in the the ex-US regions, but also on key global antitrust matters, including M&A and BD&L transactions. Ensure quality and consistency of antitrust advice, providing strategic, proactive and pragmatic counselling. Maintain a comprehensive overview of potential antitrust issues with a view to effectively and efficiently managing risk and enhancing compliance. Apply superior understanding of industry and business to provide innovative commercial solutions while maintaining professional integrity and independence and complying with applicable antitrust/competition laws.

Responsibilities:

• Providing expert antitrust advice for day-to-day business ensuring efficient risk management: advising on R&D collaborations, license agreements, co-promotion and co-marketing agreements, supply relationships, distribution systems, pricing and commercial strategies, information sharing (including competitive intelligence) and trade association activities, life-cycle management, regulatory strategies, patent prosecution and IP enforcement including litigation and patent settlements.
• Coordinating interactions with antitrust agencies: Collaborating with colleagues in managing antitrust litigation, investigations, and other interactions with antitrust agencies, including responding to questionnaires and industry studies; providing stakeholders with proactive and pragmatic advice on strategy, reputation impact and risk mitigation; and coordinating with other internal functions, as well as external advisors.
• Supporting Corporate and Business Development team with antitrust advice on M&A and BD&L transactions: conducting substantive analysis and assessing potential filings and timing implications; obtaining clearances from antitrust agencies; providing practical guidance on due diligence and confidentiality, document management and integration planning processes.
• Supporting Enterprise by providing antitrust compliance and training and embedding the Antitrust and Fair Competition Policy: producing and providing face-to-face training, web-based training , guidance and other awareness raising tools; creating and maintaining internal networks and utilizing to raise awareness of antitrust topics.
• Monitoring global antitrust developments, trends and future areas of risk and reflecting these in day-to-day counselling, guidance and awareness raising. Supporting other functions (including Ethics, Risk & Compliance, IP) on policy and process

Mindestanforderungen

• Law School Degree
• Fluent spoken and written English (German, French, Spanish, and/or other languages desirable)
• At least 8-10 years\\\' experience in EU competition law and in international investigations and transactions (experience across jurisdictions desirable)
• Experience in a law firm (other experience e.g. in an authority or in-house desirable)
