The Senior Analyst, Inventory Accounting will manage all inventory accounting for affiliates managed out of Switzerland, including the Japan affiliate. In this role you will perform accounting close of inventory sub-ledgers and reconcile to general ledger and assist with standard cost processes. You will perform accruals for all finished goods and drug product manufacturing activities and ensure correct accounting treatment for manufacturing invoices/purchase orders.
In this role you will assist with ensuring production activity at our Solothurn manufacturing site is properly accounted for. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with SOX controls and assisting with internal/external/statutory audits, inventory confirmation process and assist with completing ad-hoc requests as needed.
This is a hybrid role, requiring 50% weekly office attendance in Baar, Switzerland.
What You\\\'ll Do
Month-end close activities including inventory accounting for affiliates and subledger closing and reconciliations.
Maintain inventory accounting for affiliates.
Perform accruals for all finished goods and drug product manufacturing activities and ensure correct accounting treatment for manufacturing invoices/purchase orders.
Support accounting for Solothurn activities and ensure accuracy.
Update & maintain standard costs in inventory sub-ledger . Assist with external/internal/statutory audit inquiries for inventory and ensure SOX control compliance as necessary. Including the inventory confirmation process
Ad Hoc inventory and cogs analysis to support needs of the supply chain and manufacturing management related to cost center expenses, time tracking, work in process, materials loss and expiration.
Who You Are
You are an experienced accounting professional who has a working knowledge of inventory, cost accounting and transfer pricing. You are a curious individual, who is patient, resilient and has a high learning agility.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Bachelor\\\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Working knowledge of inventory, cost accounting and transfer pricing.
Knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.
3-5 years of related experience, preferably a combination of public accounting and private industry experience
