Job Description
To manage a new PSS team on the site of our client, a leading international pharmaceutical company in Bern, we are currently looking for an Analytical Scientific Group Leader (Protein Biochemistry). Your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Leadership Role:
Co-ordinate and manage the PSS team to ensure that laboratory productivity, quality, documentation, working hours, safety and excellence are managed to maximum efficiency
To ensure that the customer receives the best possible service by continually reviewing best practice with regard to commercial and quality issues and ensuring 100% ethical working standards and GLP/ GMP compliance
Developing, coaching, motivating and building team morale through effective teamwork and the use of reward and recognition systems to celebrate team successes
Communicate regularly with customer and Eurofins management to ensure information is shared effectively and actions are taken immediately
Scientific and Technical Leadership:
Provide scientific and technical leadership for assigned projects
Plan, execute, document, and report investigations related to quality deviations, production deviations, technical complaints, and manufacturing process changes for our client\\xe2\\x80\\x99s products
Experimental Activities and Support:
Plan, execute, and document lab experiments to support the implementation of technical changes and new materials in the production process
Support ad hoc teams with experimental activities
Reporting and Documentation:
Regularly report the status of investigations and projects to leadership
Write, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Ensure proper archiving of all relevant documentations in compliance with applicable guidelines and SOPs
Qualifications
Master\\\'s or PhD degree in biochemistry or equivalent experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
Strong scientific background in protein biochemistry, protein purification, blood coagulation, plasma protein products, manufacturing processes, protein analytics, particles characterization, and quality assurance
Excellent leadership skills (at least 3 years\\\' experience)Fluent English, both oral and written, German is a plus
Ability to communicate clearly and build strong working relationships with colleagues
Desirable experience working in a GMP regulated environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
Experience in project-oriented, multidisciplinary, and multicultural environments
Proficiency in electronic data evaluation, general computing, and software applications
