PRIVATE BANKING ASSISTANT
Job description
Support the Private Bankers to develop sales pitches and identify target clients for particular products
Support Private Bankers in managing their client portfolio through analysing client book to for example identify and re-home low value/low potential clients, identify clients with substantial cash balances, recognise specific client needs and the opportunity they present
Organise and support Bankers\\\' preparations for client success, for example preparing a full client brief in advance of a meeting, researching a prospect, preparing relevant documentation etc.
Attend client meetings and events to establish strong and enduring working relationships
Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the markets, economic position, the Bank\\\'s research view and product set thus being able to provide a view of these to their Bankers
Develop a sale strategy jointly with the Bankers to exceed performance targets
Excellent overall knowledge of BarSuisse information systems
Support team with technical queries and complex cases in relation to field of expertise (such as onboarding or credit)
Gathers feedback/issues, raise them to the Private Banking Executive managers or in the champion forums
Provide additional ad hoc training and actively share knowledge across the Private Banking Executive population to ensure best practice is adhered to
Work on ad hoc projects and assist with the implementation and development of policies, procedures and systems
Actively make suggestions for process improvements and lead in the implementation
Escalate breaches of policies/procedures appropriately
When required, assist Private Banking Executive managers in managing Private Banking Executive resource/workflow, interviewing new Private Banking Executive, training, mentoring and development
Act as the key point of contact for a portfolio of clients dealing with day-to-day administration across the range of services and products which includes payments processing, credit cases submissions, client onboarding and client data maintenance
Respond in a timely and professional manner to client requests, owning task execution end to end, working pro-actively with Operations and various departments to ensure delivery, resolve issues and reduce/remove errors
Maintain the sytems record of client requests, situation, events and reports
Perform daily operations and transactions on clients\\\' accounts
Comply with all corporate policies, front office procedures, regulatory and internal/external audit requirements and managing risk and control
Assist Private Bankers in ensuring adherence to regulatory and Wealth requirements
Keep Private Bankers completely informed of interactions with clients and share any insights gained through client servicing, routing clients to bankers when conversation moves toward giving advice or when a sales opportunity is identified
Assist Private Bankers in administration and management of client relationships including attending meetings (to observe/take notes or on own where advice is not required), preparation of CRM notes, drafting of letters and other documentation, annual client reviews all overseen and signed-off by the Private Banker
Profile required
Strong knowledge of banking and operational procedures, plus lending and understanding of collateral requirements, understanding of markets and regulatory awareness
Strong understanding of Bank\\\'s products and services of the Bank
Technical specialist/champion in one of the banking fields such as onboarding or credit
Excellent customer service skills and sensivity to the needs and profile of HNW clients
Positive and self motivated
Excellent ability to plan and organise work and set priorities, and to multi-task
Good interpersonal skills and adopt a team focus
Good influencing and negotiating skills
Ability to make clear presentation of information both written and orally
