For our client, the company F. Hoffmann La Roche based in Basel, we are looking for a Research Associate in-vivo Pharmacology.

As a hands-on research associate the candidate will join the in-vivo Pharmacology team of the Immunology group. The person will be responsible for executing in vivo and ex vivo studies in the pharmacological characterization and testing of small molecules and biologics that modulate immune-mediated inflammatory diseases with a main focus on gut and lung diseases.
The perfect candidate: has a background in In vivo Research and more than 2 years of experience working with rodents.The candidate is in possession of a LTK 1 module and is fluent in English.
Tasks
Help to refine and independently execute a mouse models used for in vivo studies related to lung diseases & gut diseases including efficacy and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) biomarker studies
in rodents to address project-specific, mechanistic questions * Work with the in vivo team in animal handling, dosing, scoring, sample collection and processing for other studies in animal models of inflammatory diseases
Help to implement novel in vivo technologies
Strictly adhere to national and international animal welfare regulations, support Roche`s commitment to 3Rs (Replace, Reduce and Refine animal experimentation)
Managing the establishment and maintenance of outsourced genetically modified mouse lines
Requirements
In vivo Research Associate experience (finished apprenticeship or B.Sc./M.Sc. in life sciences or equivalent) ()
Minimum 2 years of solid hands-on rodents experience incl. substance application via diverse routes of administration ()
Formal basic qualifications (LTK1 or FELASA B or equivalent) to carry out experimental work according to standard protocols and regulations ()
Demonstrate clear and professional communication in English (fluent) German is a plus) ()
Proven track record of adherence to animal welfare and compliance
self-driven but team-oriented working attitude is a must
Excellent data management and record-keeping skills
Open for occasional weekend-work

Experience with genetically modified mouse lines and outsourcing
