As a Quality Specialist, you will deploy, support and foster a Quality culture across the Division of Process Industries based in Baden-D\\xc3\\xa4ttwil, Switzerland, by assuring and controlling Quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Supports and maintains the Quality Management System in line with ABB Group/Division guidance. Reporting to the Quality and Continuous Improvement Team Leader, you will develop and maintain the quality management system, implement internal controls to verify that processes meet requirements, make sure that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating risks. Your responsibilities
Drafting, interpreting, and implementing quality assurance standards and procedures for the organization
Evaluating new and existing regulations to ensure the quality assurance protocols fulfill requirements
Ensuring product quality through regular auditing and testing
Ensuring that the design activities that influence the quality of the products or services are sufficiently defined and controlled
Ensuring ongoing compliance and risk management across the organization
Performing audits and uses Quality data analytics from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and nonconformances within the local operations, its suppliers and customers.
Driving the application of appropriate corrective and preventive actions and managing solutions to closure
Working in cross-functional teams to execute the strategy and escalate as necessary to remove roadblocks
Utilizing the local Quality Management System to provide the local teams with procedures and documentation that sufficiently describe their work activities
Leading the local teams in the application of an operational approach and system of process management that is continually evaluated for effectiveness
Assisting the Engineering functions and R&D with Product data and analysis to ensure effective introduction of new products then validate that Products continue to meet operational and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle
Understanding the Process Industries vision, objectives, needs and suggesting projects, actions and tools to achieve them
Enabling, training and coaching employees to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view. And to define and document processes that are efficient and under control
Driving transformational projects with a hands-on and problem-solving approach
Analyzing complex quality issues and leading the process of solving these problems, making sure that the action plan is in place and perform the follow-up
Leading the analysis and communication of customer perceptions to guide the local improvement actions toward greater customer satisfaction
Measuring the costs of non-quality, identifying the quality issues, and making the necessary corrections in collaboration with the Operations, to reduce the costs of non-quality
Your background
Min. 3 years of experience in several of the following areas: Developing and maintaining Quality management system in an industrial environment, Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma, Process Design, Lean Production, Manufacturing & Quality, Change Management, Audit, Statistical Analysis
Experience in leading quality operation on process and product sides
Experience in coordinating quality assurance and quality control activities to achieve quality business targets and creating visual quality dashboards, managing quality data and metrics
Experience using 8D/Problem solving methodologies and sound knowledge of MS Office tools and ERP systems (SAP) are an asset
Ability to interact with different stakeholders and motivated to train and drive change
High customer and solution orientation, paired with a communicative personality and coaching skills
Hands-on and problem-solving mentality to challenge \\xe2\\x80\\x9cstatus quo\\xe2\\x80\\x9d
A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
Working experience or a degree in mechanical/industrial/electrical engineering/Industrial Engineering
Fluency in English. Good German level and any additional language are an asset
