\\n \\n This position is located in the United Nations Trade and Development, Division on Technology and Logistics, E-Commerce and Digital Economy Branch, eTrade Initiatives Section. The Programme Management Officer reports to the Chief of the eTrade Initiatives Section. The focus of the job is the development and implementation of assigned communication, capacity building and partnership-related projects developed in the framework of the eTrade for all or the eTrade for women initiatives.ResponsibilitiesWithin delegated authority, the Programme Management Officer will be responsible for the following duties: \\xe2\\x80\\xa2 Participates in the implementation eTrade for all-related activities, the development of the eTrade for Women Academy as well as the organization of the next UNCTAD eWeek by identifying topics of relevance for the event and leveraging external partnerships. \\xe2\\x80\\xa2 Researches, collects, analyses and presents information gathered from diverse sources as background material for both the Academy and the UNCTAD eWeek, including for in person or virtual deliveries. \\xe2\\x80\\xa2 Undertakes survey initiatives to assess the main issues and challenges of developing countries in the digital economy including in a gender-sensitive manner; designs data collection tools; reviews, analyzes and interprets responses, identifies problems/issues and prepares conclusions. \\xe2\\x80\\xa2 Prepares various written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, concept notes, invitations and agendas, analysis, sections of reports and studies, key communication messages, with specific focus on the main challenges and opportunities associated with digital transformations, and the future of the digital economy, including with a gender perspective. \\xe2\\x80\\xa2 Provides substantive support to consultative and other meetings, conferences, etc., to include proposing agenda topics, identifying participants, preparing documents and presentations, etc. to ensure stronger buy-in from external partners in the eTrade for Women Academy and the UNCTAD eWeek. \\xe2\\x80\\xa2 Participates in relevant field missions or virtual coordination calls in the implementation of activities and provides guidance to external consultants, government officials and other parties and drafting mission summaries, etc. \\xe2\\x80\\xa2 Contributes to activities related to budget and funding (programme/project preparation and submissions, progress reports, financial statements, etc.) and coordinates the preparation and release of progress reports and outcome documents. \\xe2\\x80\\xa2 Performs other duties as required.Competencies
