Your role

• Builds expertise in particle design, spray drying, physical operations, process simulations and supports the Head Process Technology
• Takes ownership of the Siegfried R&D technology roadmap and drives forward activities
• Generates and prepares process data (OSi-PI, simulation tools) and drives digitization forward
• Keeps up to date with the latest technology and gathers information about new technologies on the market
• Takes on technically demanding development projects and develops procedures for economical, ecological, safe and scalable processes for the production of pharmaceutical substances
• Transfers the chemical processes to GMP manufacturing facilities on different DS sites
• Acts in close cooperation with technical operations in the introduction of new products or technologies
• Prepares technical documents (technical packages, transfer plans, etc.) and relevant project documents (development reports, progress reports, etc.)
• Co-operates with the project team consisting of project manager, project analytical chemist, QA manager, production chemist/engineer, safety/health/environment and purchasing manager
• Collaborates with external customers

Your profile

• Degree in chemical engineering (BSc, Master), PhD is an advantage
• At least 3 years of experience in the field of chemical process development
• Experience in the transfer of chemical processes to pilot or production
• Basic knowledge of cGMP regulations
• Familiarity with software programs for DoE (Stavex, Modde) and reaction modeling (Dynochem, Visimix)
• Sound knowledge of MS Office programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with fluency in both English and German (recommended)
• Strong team player with a structured way of working
