The Payroll & HR Specialist collaborates closely with the Remuneration team and the HR Business Partners, provides structured process and operational HR support to the team and the business. The Payroll & HR Specialist has a broad knowledge of the human resources function as well as sound knowledge from payroll and has the ability to propose enhancements and continuously improve payroll and HR processes.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for the monthly payroll for Zurich based employees (approx.. 200, including expatriates) and ensure accurate processing through an external provider
Support year-end payroll activities (incentive payments, salary increases, salary certificates)
Manage sickness, accident and maternity leave claims with authorities and/or insurances
Responsible for HR administration tasks during the full employee cycle
Competent contact for HR Business Partners, employees and executives in personnel matters such as wages, social security, labor law, work permits, time recording and relocation / mobility
Main contact for new employees and support and advice before, during and after the first day of work
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years\\\' experience as a Payroll Specialist (or eventually also as HR Professional) in an international environment
Further education in HR (Payroll specialist or HR professional) desirable
Very good analytical skills, attention to details, and good numerical sense
Good knowledge of the Swiss labor law and social insurance system
Effective communication skills and ability collaborate with cross-functional and culturally diverse teams
Efficient, proactive, rigorous work ethic, meticulous, able to handle sensitive information,
Fluency in English & German
Proficient user of HR databases/systems and fully conversant with MS Office suite, experience with PeopleSoft or SuccessFactors is considered a plus
