The Supply Chain manager, Sourcing & Planning, is responsible for the sourcing and planning of the production of timepieces in accordance with the set strategy for the Watch Center. He/She shall demonstrate a solid knowledge in operations (purchasing, production), in product management, in product development and in product launch. He/She has to make all the evaluations, liaise with all cross departments including our US team involved in the activities and with external vendors in order to meet and guarantee the quality standards of our products.
Key Accountabilities:
Sourcing:
Conduct supplier relationship and analysis, evaluate potential suppliers and manage the overall supplier qualification process in accordance with Company standards, develop and create sourcing plans, requests for proposal, and other sourcing documents, evaluate and recommend purchasing and sourcing decisions to management in order to for example reduce costs or differentiate the risk . Negotiate agreements and other related requirements (NDAs, MVAs). Maintain an accurate list of suppliers.
Production Planning:
Plans, directs, and coordinates the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. Monitor production levels and production sites on a regular basis to make sure agreed production schedules and standards are followed.
Evaluate improvements to keep the system updated and efficient using the most recent standards of the industry. (MRP, MPS, APS)
Management:
Defines flows, procedures and processes linked to all the accountabilities and contribute to the overall business strategy for the Watch Center.
Profile :
Required qualifications:
At least 10 + years proven work experience in a Manager\\\'s position within a structured matrixed multinational organization
Master Degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain or business administration
Familiarity with sourcing, vendor management and relevant software
Understandings of Markets dynamics and ability to sustain and maintain networking relationship with manufacturing vendors or potential vendors
Must have excellent Communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery
Comfortable with figures and with the collection, analysis and interpretation of data
Strong People Management Skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
Flexibility and adaptability to fast changing environments
Attention to details and to the Company Sustainability Goals
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in a Luxury /Watch Company will be considered a strong plus
Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous
Familiarity with International and Domestic (Swiss) Logistic best practices
