THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief People and Experience Officer, the person will be responsible for supporting the planning and preparation of critical projects and meetings that are required to deliver on the strategic and operational agenda. There are currently over 25 live projects that are cross cutting across the Secretariat and over 10 projects in the HR function, including a multi-year culture change program, compensation and benefit survey, a full review of HR services, a new talent acquisition and talent management strategy, employee experience led onboarding program to name just a few. The individual will be a thought partner to the Chief People and Experience Officer on the subject content and will be responsible for designing and managing a project methodology that enables the HR leadership to identify critical milestones, remove roadblocks, prioritise actions and ensure that resources are in place to optimise delivery. In the short term, the role will also provide support to the Head, Recruitment, HR Services & Project Delivery.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
Our aim with this position is to start developing HR Business Partners for Gavi. The successful individual will spend a minimum of 2 years in this position. Upon completion of these two years, the role incumbent will spend 4 six-month periods working across various HR disciplines including Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management and HR Services. In parallel to this 2-year period, you will also undertake the professional Chartered Institute of Personnel Development Qualification. On successful completion of this four-year programme, you will be considered for a HR Business Partner opportunity or equivalent within the HR team at Gavi.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years prior experience in project-leading and thought-partnering role, preferably within an HR department;
Prior exposure to a project management focused role a distinct advantage;
Previous experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships within a multicultural environment highly desired.

Academic Qualifications
Background in a HR-related discipline;
Minimum BA Business Studies, HR, Psychology, Communication and/or health-related field.
