This position offers a highly motivated and skilled individual the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, international environment, with exposure to Roche\\xe2\\x80\\x99s external growth strategy and senior management. The M&A Analyst works on all Roche M&A deals: Pharma / Research, Diagnostics or Healthcare IT acquisitions and divestments (\\xe2\\x80\\x9cDeals\\xe2\\x80\\x9d) that are either being contemplated or executed, together with a senior M&A Project Leader. In this position, you will be responsible for the analytical review of Deal opportunities, and contribute to the assessment or execution of M&A projects. This includes interfacing with other colleagues involved in Deals, such as legal, accounting, tax, and divisional experts; performing research and analysis of companies using internal and external databases; involvement in the development of commercial cases and corresponding assumptions; modelling and performing comprehensive multi-criteria company valuations, including pro-forma impact analysis.
Main responsibilities:
Building financial models, analyzing company financials, performing valuation analyses (DCF, comps, etc) and supporting offer structuring
Participating in the Deal process, i.e. interactions and negotiations with the counterparty / its advisers
Summarizing analysis into structured presentations and communicating findings in internal meetings
Contributing to and coordinating due diligence processes
Contributing to and coordinating the establishment of Deal related documentation, such as due diligence lists, bid letters, process letters, information memorandums, etc.
Interfacing with Roche\\xe2\\x80\\x99s external advisers
Participating in strategic discussions in the review of potential investment opportunities, M&A landscapes, etc.
Qualifications
You will have a recognized University degree (Finance or Economics or related; a Master and/or a Science degree is a plus). In addition, 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in Investment Banking, Corporate M&A, Transaction Services or other financial advisory related work. A desire for hands-on involvement and the ability to cope with challenges and time pressure are important for this position. Exposure to the Pharma / Biotech sector will be considered as a plus.
University graduates will be considered provided they have a finance/economics background and relevant internships in banking incl M&A training camps.
