350+TRD projects, 200+ compounds and 100+ life cycle projects. As a laboratory expert you have existing experience, or a willingness to broaden your current skill base, in the areas of solid form development, such as solid state technologies, particle engineering, powder processing (e.g. dry and wet milling) and their related analytical approaches.

You will perform scientific studies to support the appropriate selection, development and characterization of new salt and polymorphic forms for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) as well as the process development in the field of crystallization, filtration and drying, with potential extension into drug substance finishing step technologies. You will be part of a laboratory team at the interface of research, process chemistry and formulation science.

Your key responsibilities will include

• In a highly automated laboratory environment, you would plan, perform and document

1. scientific small scale screening studies for the selection of new salt and polymorphic forms
2. scientific experiments in the field of crystallization, filtration and drying in support of the isolation of the selected solid form

• Characterize products with wet chemistry and solid state analytical methods
• Detail experimental procedure and observations and provide raw data evaluation and interpretation of routine analytical results.
• Optimize existing methods and procedures, reproduce and follow published and established methods
• Operate / utilize special equipment in the area of screening, lab automation, scale-up technologies and online analytics
• Schedule and perform routine maintenance of instruments/equipment as a key user

Mindestanforderungen

Ideal requirements

• Laboratory Technician with experience or equivalent technical educational background (e.g. Laborant/in, Chemie- und Pharmatechnologe/-login) in appropriate field (e.g. Analytics, Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Materials Science)
• Experience in small scale screening and solid processing technologies (e.g. crystallization, filtration, drying)
• Experience and/or interest to broaden skill base in API finishing step techniques, such as dry milling/sieving and wet media milling, along with appropriate analytical techniques would be advantageous
• Knowledge in wet chemistry (e.g. HPLC/UPLC, GC) and powder characterization analytics (e.g. XRPD, DSC, TGA, DVS, rheology etc.)
• Deep understanding of HSE requirements and safe and conscious work in laboratory environment
• Excellent planning skills and structured way of working
• You are an agile and flexible personality accustomed to working in a highly dynamic environment
• Knowledge in Data and Digital aspects desirable
• Languages: German and English
