\\n The EBU is looking for a Junior Administrative Support Officer (part time 80%) based in Geneva.
ABOUT THE UNIT
T&I Project Services is the unit that regroups independent non-profit associations hosted by the EBU, such as DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting), 5G-MAG, HbbTV and WorldDAB. Both and have -EBU staffed- Project Offices in Geneva.
Founded in 1993, the DVB Project is an industry-led consortium of the world\\\'s leading media and technology companies working together to design open technical specifications for digital media delivery. DVB is a Swiss non-for-profit organisation with over 150 members worldwide.
The DVB Project Office, (DVB PO) based in the EBU headquarters, provides all logistic, promotional, admin and financial support to its DVB members. Some of the activities are run through its subsidiary (100% DVB owned LLC under Swiss law) which is fully managed by the DVB PO.
The DVB PO organises international meetings, conferences, exhibitions, workshops and manages all websites (dvb.org, dvbservices.com, dvb-i.tv and dvbworld.org), social media, promotional activities and publications. In addition, they allocate DVB Identifiers and manage DVB logo usage. Both Legal (trademark protection, consultancy, insurance, staffing) and financial services are controlled in Geneva.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION
The position is part of the small DVB Project Office team, reports functionally to the Senior Manager, T&I Project Services
The Junior Administrative Support Officer provides all round support on different levels, playing an active role in the smooth running of the Project office.
You will be the key interlocutor for our DVB chairs to manage their (online/hybrid/in person) meetings, responsible for the meeting logistics, and you\\\'ll assist them on our members platform keeping the meeting calendar and document store organised. You will be admin of the online meeting platforms and update data in the Members platform / database.
You will be organising external event logistics (venue, catering, AV for conferences and tradeshows), hotels and occasional travel arrangement support.
Finally, there is the generic administrative support to the unit manager and colleagues in the team (database updates, filing, routine correspondence, mail).
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
At least 1 years of work experience as an administrative assistant
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to details
Demonstrates the ability to take the initiative on developing creative and innovative solutions
Strong customer service skills: Ability to work with accuracy under time constraints and pressure
Ability to work effectively with people of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
LANGUAGE - Excellent commend in written and spoken English
