We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team, on a part-time basis (60% - 80%), to work remotely in Switzerland, with occasional travel to Geneva for collaborative meetings. Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Management: Collect invoices from 3rd party portals and email flows, upload them into our ERP system, review VAT implications, and allocate expenses to GL accounts and cost centres. Ensure timely payments and reconcile accounts.
Accounts Receivable Management: Issue invoices, track payments, send reminders, and monitor aging accounts. Renew subscriptions as needed.
General Ledger Entries: Accurately post credit card bills and various general ledger entries, including travel costs, G&A operating expenses, payroll, fixed assets, Forex adjustments, and more.
Bank Transactions: Post bank transactions promptly and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Tax Support: Assist in the preparation of Swiss VAT quarterly declarations and income tax returns.
Payroll Support: Provide support in payroll preparation processes.
Qualifications:
Commercial school, CFC diploma, or higher in accounting or finance.
2-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role within a Swiss-based international SME.
Proficiency in both English and French at a minimum level B2.
In-depth knowledge of Swiss VAT regulations and local financial regulations.
Proficiency in at least one modern accounting software and Microsoft Office.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
