• evolve technical and hybrid architecture standards aligned with UBS digital principles
• provide modern architecture standards aligned with GOTO and WMPC principles, strategy and policies. Aligning and driving new demand for the mainframe with Technology Services
• guide strategic WMPC Technology initiatives in the adoption of tech standards
• provide technical mainframe architecture consulting and exemplary code using application templates and blueprints supporting WMPC Technology initiatives (e.g. cloud adoption, modern tech, etc.)
• innovate to bring the mainframe in alignment with cloud and fully integrated in a hybrid-cloud setup.

• ensure Wealth Management Technology alignment with UBS Technology architecture and standards
• communicate technical solutions and recommendations to non-technical staff in a clear and understandable way
• create detailed technical specifications for solution design and implementation
• develop technical architecture standards that consider performance, scalability, security, and other non-functional factors
• enforces group quality standards (non-functional requirements) for resilience, security, scalability, etc.
• ensures the stream is maintaining or managing technical risks and controls in a compliant way
• support key stakeholders with managing their operational risk items and staying within risk appetite
• build a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• keep up with emerging technologies, open source, open standards and new practices, recognizing and realizing opportunities to enhance our technical approach

Your expertise

• ideally 15+ years of experience working as a IT Technical Architect with focus on Mainframe or in a role which required the above expertise
• ability to design, plan and deliver solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment that adhere to security, compliance, reliability and operational standards
• excellent knowledge of IBM mainframe technologies, architectures and products and how to exploit these.
• organized and focused, with the ability to work accurately under pressure
• skilled communicator who adapts style to audience and conveys clear, accurate and concise information
