For our client, one of the leading insurance companies in Switzerland with headquarter in Zurich, Swisslinx is looking for an IT Business Analyst working on a strategic international program in the insurance sector to advance the existing system landscape by developing additional features and further integrate into the wider systems landscape of the global organization. This opportunity is open on a contract basis for initial 12 months with a possible extension thereafter.
Your responsibilities:
- Join a global project team providing explanations and expertise regarding as-is / to-be models as part of the requirements elicitation process (process, data, work flow, application) to appropriate stakeholders - Analyzing and prioritizing business requirements, translating them into solutions requirements and ensure their implementation throughout the life cycle in an end-to-end view of the processes in close cooperation with IT and dedicated business stakeholders - Planning & conducting elicitation sessions for business requirements gathering with subject matter experts and end users - Producing requirement specifications and outlines solution design documents throughout the project life cycle - Supporting the lead Business Analyst in the backlog management and help to ensure the deliverables are met - Adapting and applying different delivery methodologies determining the best for the specific project - Engaging in solution design and brainstorming session across teams - Contributing to business cases, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope definition and development of a high-level schedule - Participating in development of test plans, testing, implementation and training activities - Conducting post implementation activities including problem solving and measurement of benefits achieved
Your background:
- Practical experience working as a Business Analyst/SME ideally in the insurance domain (preferably Commercial Insurance) - Experience in application testing and organizing user acceptance testings - Experience in capturing complex business requirements, analyze them and translate them into easily understandable functional requirements - Strong problem-solving & analytical skills - Experience in working in an agile delivery environment, comfortable in complex global project setups and able to work under pressure in a multi-vendor and multi-cultural team - Degree preferably in the area of IT or business information studies or equivalent - Good communication skills in English, German is a plus
