Our unit Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), based in Zuerich-Oerlikon, is active in the development, project execution, production and installation of gas insulated switching systems worldwide. We ensure the high reliability of electrical systems by using world class technology and highest standards in project execution.

In this position you will lead entire team of project managers for new GIS business worldwide. You consistently ensure that the entire project portfolio is carried out professionally, cost-effectively and on schedule from the time the order is received until the handover of the operational system to the customer. You and your teams will lead projects and new business cases of varying degrees of standardization to success in both commercial and technical terms. You are also in demand in the course of continuous process improvement. Thanks to you, high customer satisfaction and an optimal project result are guaranteed at all times.

Your responsibilities:

Leading Project Management department, which consists of 5 teams and PMO, in total you are responsible for >60 employees (both on-site and remotely)

Project portfolio management of orders for GIS with the aim of achieving high customer satisfaction and an optimal project result

Coach and mentor the team leader(s) in the commercial management of customer projects with focus on cost improvements and optimization of cash flow

Management of technical and commercial opportunities and risks for entire project portfolio

Active change and claim management

Prioritize project portfolio based on the demand and available capacity

Support project managers in escalations

Represent GIS management in customer relations and stakeholders management (externally and internally)

Drive continuous improvement of the processes with interfaces to other functions in the GIS business

Your background:

Several years of professional experience in a leading position

Track record of developing people and organizations

Many years of experience in customer project management (>10 years) including project manager certification (in the high-voltage sector would be an advantage)

Profound business management know-how as well as a keen interest in managing costs and risks

Comprehensive product and market knowledge of power transmission, expertise in gas-insulated technology is a plus

Fluent in written and spoken English (German is a plus) and further language skills are a great advantage Experience and enjoying working in a multicultural environment\\n \\n \\n \\n \\n \\n
