You will be responsible for leading in Kaiseraugst a dedicated team of operational experts (logistics, administration, SHE, etc) supporting and enabling all innovation teams to deliver on strategic projects. Leveraging your outstanding communication and planning skills, you will identify opportunities to increase the team\\\'s current service level, propose a plan, and implement it.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead in Kaiseraugst a team of operations experts supporting all innovation teams: logisticians, administrative assistants, technical experts, etc as applicable
• Ensure delivery of all components of the team\\\'s mandate. As applicable depending on site specificities:General administration (contracts, orders and receive services, organize meetings, events, visits, courses, publish internal reports, announcements, etc)S&R Supply chain: Order chemicals, lab supplies, instruments (OPEX + CAPEX). Ensure central warehouse is adequately stocked with recurrent itemsOrganize scheduled basic lab instruments maintenanceCoordination of SHE matters of global relevance for innovation on the site
• Nurture team spirit, ensure global coherence of S&R Operations along with the other Heads of S&R Operations + the Global Head of Analytical Sciences
• Contribute to the creation and execution of the global S&R Operations strategy
• Be a key element for the successful post-merger integration and lead by example, contribute to the harmonization of processes and ways of working

You bring

• 10+ Years of experience in operational or managerial roles directly or indirectly related to S&R operations or laboratory activities
• A degree with some relevance for the role, for example in a scientific field or in logistics
• Experience of people management
• Problem solving mindset, looking for practical solutions, proactivity, attention to details, drive to challenge status quo, absolute customer focus
• Superior communication skills with a broad range of stakeholders, emotional intelligence, build trust and strategic relationships, understand cultural aspects
• Deep understanding of practical aspects of working in research laboratories and offices
• Fluency in German and good command of English are a must, working knowledge of French is an asset

Important notes

This job title is temporary and will be adjusted once the job grading structure for the new Group will be adopted (covering among others: grades\\\' design, job evaluations, calibration, and job titles\\\' nomenclature). Until these adjustments are finalized, current compensation packages will be grandfathered for those whose new position turns out to be graded lower than their current position. This temporary period will last not more than 24 months for the legacy DSM Executives or legacy FIR SLT members, and not more than 12-18 months for all other employees from the moment the candidate moves into their new position.
