Financial Control & Group Reporting
Purpose
Leading the Group Consolidation & Reporting team and local Financial Control teams of the GAM Group
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Management of the Group Consolidation & Reporting team (1-2 employees)
Preparation of consolidated financial statements of GAM Holding AG in accordance with IFRS (half-yearly)
Provision of figures and review of other external reporting areas (business reviews, investor presentations, investor workbooks, press releases)
Preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements of the GAM Group, including review of the monthly results of the Group companies and commentary on the variances of the consolidated results compared to the previous month
Preparation of monthly financial reporting to Senior Management and the Board of Directors
Dealing with specific accounting topics (e.g. impairment testing, pension accounting (IAS 19), consolidation of own funds (IFRS 10), revaluation of financial liabilities and deferred tax assets, valuation and accounting of share-based payment plans (IFRS 2), lease accounting (IFRS 16), fair value measurement (IFRS 13))
Analysis of the impact of changes in IFRS on the GAM Group
Periodic updates of the Group Accounting Policy
Planning and coordination with the auditors; be the contact person for IFRS related topics
Preparation of periodic updates on accounting topics for the attention of the Audit Committee / Board of Directors
Supporting the Group companies with accounting issues and the preparation of their statutory individual financial statements
Qualifications & Experience
Higher education in Finance and Accounting (university, university of applied sciences) & a Certified Public Accountant
Several years (5+) of management and operational experience in the field of finance/accounting/controlling, in particular consolidation and IFRS reporting
Very good IFRS knowledge
Audit experience, ideally with a Big4 company
Asset management experience preferred
Experience with a listed company preferred
Very good written and spoken German and English language skills
Good MS-Office skills, especially in Excel
Knowledge of Workday and Workday Adaptive Insights preferred
