Responsibilities
Act as a direct sparring partner for local top management in devising strategies and financial frameworks to reach organizational goals.
Serve as the principal point of contact between the Swiss subsidiary and the group finance team for all financial matters, including reporting, compliance, and strategic planning.
Oversee all aspects of financial operations in Switzerland, focusing on the insurance brokerage sector, such as accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Develop and monitor financial KPIs specific to the insurance brokerage industry to ensure the Swiss subsidiary\\\'s alignment with group objectives.
Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and group-wide laws and regulations, particularly those relevant to insurance brokerage.
Coordinate with global finance teams to consolidate, analyze, and report financial performance.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies specific to the insurance brokerage industry in Switzerland.
Implement robust internal control systems tailored to the needs and risks of the insurance brokerage business.
Lead financial audits and assist in the preparation of financial statements, regulatory reports, and insurance-specific disclosures.
Regularly update the Group Finance Team and pertinent stakeholders on financial performance, risks, and compliance status.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor\\xe2\\x80\\x99s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master\\xe2\\x80\\x99s degree and/or CPA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the insurance brokerage industry.
Comprehensive understanding of Swiss financial regulations, especially those pertaining to insurance, is a huge pre.
Proficiency in financial software and systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Fluent in English and German/French (depending on the region); additional Swiss languages are a plus.
