\\n Insurance Solutions within Business Technology Solutions seeks an innovative Functional Lead for a Guidewire based solution to support a global, business critical application.

In this challenging role you will oversee and manage the application\\\'s functional IT team of Business Analysts and the tasks they undertake to gather and develop requirements and elicit user stories based on business stakeholder / user input.

You will collaborate in a large team, primarily with Project Managers, Developers and Solution Architects along with Testers, and business stakeholders around the world who work to build, implement, operate, and maintain new underwriting pricing products across multiple Commercial Insurance lines of business.

Additionally, you will have the chance to work in an agile environment collaborating and communicating with peers and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation on a daily basis.

What you will do

Business Analyst team manager and coach

Motivating the business analysis team, creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.

Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively.

Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.

Design and implement a methodology for the business analysis processes taking into consideration the Guidewire delivery framework and internal working environment.

Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.

Where necessary, support BAs in analysing complex ideas or proposals to build a range of meaningful recommendations.

Support and oversee complex functional requirement / user story elicitation.

Regularly interact with the Team Lead, Technical Lead and Architect to ensure alignment across functions.

Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.

Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.

Develop new skills outside of comfort zone.

What you bring

Fluent in written and spoken English.

2 + years in a similar functional lead role.

Experience in P&C insurance and / or commercial lines.

Understanding of Guidewire\\\'s implementation best practices.

Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges.

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Strong leadership and organizational abilities.

Excellent analytical, documentation and troubleshooting skills.

Analytical thinking and quick to identify problems.

Affinity for detail, design, quality, process.

Fast learning, self-motivated, proactive, and able to show initiative.

Positive attitude with ability to adapt in a changing environment.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.

Bachelor\\\'s or master\\\'s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
