MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To develop, implement and drive e-commerce strategy and initiatives, as well as go-to-market, scale and grow strategic B2C initiatives that align with the overall Digital Transformation Strategy of Mediclinic. This role also needs to identify new opportunities, develop business plans for digital health projects and enhance business growth potential through campaigns that will increase adoption, engagement and retention for Mediclinic digital health products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Develop and execute an e-commerce strategy that aligns with the overall digital health transformation strategy of Mediclinic.
Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of the e-commerce platform, ensuring it is scalable, meets the needs of the business and customers and complies with all applicable healthcare regulations and standards.
Develop a deep understanding of the target audience, including their journeys, needs, preferences, and behaviours and manage the customer experience across the e-commerce platform.
Develop and execute creative growth hacking strategies along the customer journey (to drive awareness, engagement, adoption, acquisition down to retention and referral) that result in meaningful user acquisition and engagement and retention.
Lead the identification of new opportunities and the development of business plans for our digital health projects, while collaborating with the Divisional Marketing Team(s) to define the value proposition of the digital products, create marketing strategies in alignment with the Digital Health Transformation goals..
Develop and execute promotional campaigns to drive traffic and revenue to the e-commerce platform, including search engine optimization (SEO), social media channels, email campaigns, content creation, etc. and attract traffic to digital channels, including gamification, digital marketing, brand alliances, on-ground activation.
Monitor and analyse e-commerce metrics and data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and use this information to make data-driven decisions and monitoring progress against business plans and adjusting strategies as needed to stay on track.
Manage relationships with third-party providers, including payment processors, service partners, and other vendors, to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services to patients.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Post-graduate qualification in business administration, marketing, e-commerce, or a related field.
DESIRED EDUCATION
An MBA or other advanced degree may be preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
7 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or a related field in the B2C industry
Proven experience in defining and executing e-commerce strategies, and driving revenue growth
5 years experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, developing and executing e-commerce
Proven experience of successful growth initiatives implementation

Proficiency in identifying and segmenting target customer groups based on demographics, psychographics, and behaviours to tailor go to market efforts effectively
Development and execution of long-term and short-term customer strategies aligned with business objectives and target audience preferences.
Ability to develop and implement product launch plans, value propositions, and messaging strategies to drive customer engagement.
Ability to develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce strategies and to manage and optimise e-commerce platform to improve user experience and optimize overall performance.
Go-to-market and growth initiative implementation
Strong technical skills in managing large-scale e-commerce platforms and related technologies
Expertise in CMS, analytics tools, and digital marketing platforms and knowledge of various growth-hacking tools, such as automation and campaign monitoring platforms
Business strategy, financial analysis, business case principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and customers, as well as to communicate with the executive team and other stakeholders
