\\nThe Department of Actuarial Science of the Faculty of Business and Economics is looking for a Graduate Assistant
Start date: February 1, 2024 (or at a later mutually agreed date)
Contract duration: 1 year. The contract can be renewed for 2 x 2 years. The total maximum funding period is 5 years.
Salary: (initially) 4400 CHF / month (80% position), additions upon agreement.
Place of work: Lausanne Dorigny, Extranef building.
Supervisor: Prof. Peter Hieber
\\n50% of the time will be dedicated to completion of doctoral studies in actuarial science.
50% of the assistant\\\'s time will be dedicated to teaching, administrative (including exam supervision), technical and research support for the department.
Master of Science (MSc) in Actuarial Science, (Actuarial) Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
Desire to deepen the knowledge in actuarial science with the aim to obtain a doctoral degree.
Fluent in English. Basic understanding of French is not necessary but a plus.
Ability to work in a team and good communication skills.
In Europe, we are one of the biggest departments in Actuarial Science and offer a nice and dynamic working atmosphere.
Research topics in Life/Pension Insurance Mathematics and/or Actuarial Data Science.
