In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliant and robust processes in the field of customs and trade, as well as implementing global guidelines and procedures for customs compliance. Your keen attention to detail and expert knowledge of customs regulations will be critical in ensuring smooth international trade operations. Your tasks
Ensuring compliant and robust processes in the field of customs and trade
Development and implementation of global guidelines and procedures for compliance with customs regulations
Being the focal point on customs matters, including classification, valuation, and determination of origin
Conducting audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with customs regulations
Designing and conducting training programs on customs compliance for employees
Monitoring changes in customs regulations worldwide and advising internal teams on necessary updates
Participation in industry groups and trade associations to stay informed about best practices and industry developments
Collaboration with other departments, such as compliance, taxes, and legal, to ensure customs compliance across all areas of the company
Managing and supervising the work of customs brokers and external service providers
Monitoring exports for foreign trade law aspects and compliance with relevant legal regulations (including Foreign Trade Act, Dual-Use Regulation, and embargoes)
Being responsible for party list screening
Your profile
A completed bachelor\\\'s degree or a completed specialized vocational training of at least 3 years with relevant further education
Several years of work experience (
5 years) and corresponding knowledge in the field of customs and export control are required * Very good English language skills in both written and spoken communication for daily communication and documentation
Good German language skills in both written and spoken communication (B1)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams
Proficiency in JDE, CIM Database, Business Intelligence, ECM, customs software (AEB)
Teamwork and strong communication skills
