The General Ledger (GL) Team Lead provides direction for the respective General Ledger and Intercompany / Order-to-cash teams within FRA Ops Switzerland and thereafter leading the primary liaison to the respective Divisional CFOs, BPA (Business Planning & Analysis), BD&L (Business Development & Licensing) and commercial business partners, having the oversight of all services provided from FRA Ops Switzerland. This role ensures accurate reporting of financial information to stakeholders in accordance to IFRS, statutory and Novartis standards & policies. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the period-end closing and reporting in accordance with laws and Novartis required standards
Interact proactively within Division C&R Team, Group FRA and Technical Accounting to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting
Lead and manage the balance sheet account reconciliations of allocated accounts and ensures timely resolution and cleans of action items identified
Provide functional guidance from an accounting perspective for business transactions
Ensure compliance with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements and implementation in internal guidelines
Act service oriented to enable service lines to deliver a high-performing organization and drive improvements/standard solutions while cultivating a customer service focus culture
Cultivate the Novartis culture by being a role model within the Team.
Minimum requirements
What you\\\'ll bring to the role: Essential Criteria:
University degree in Finance and/or Accounting and/or Chartered Accountant
Strong accounting skills, preferably with external audit background
Extensive financial experience and prior experience in leading teams
SAP knowledge
Proficiency in English (written and spoken),
Desirable Criteria:
