The Private Fundraising and Partnerships Divisions work with National Committees and UNICEF Country Offices to maximize income and influence of the private sector, including individuals in National Committee countries and in Country Offices. In this context, PFP and ICTD are partnering to deliver the Supporter Engagement Strategy with an aim to improve the experiences of UNICEF supporters and increase the loyalty of individuals to UNICEF. The Supporter Engagement Strategy includes the global rollout of the SES Digital Platform as a driver of digital transformation to increase revenue, and efficiencies and reduce risk.

One of the biggest opportunities for fundraising, advocacy, and brand potential lies in enlisting and engaging millions of individuals, through new and existing channels, to contribute their money, voice, and time in support of UNICEF\\\'s goals for children. The Fundraising Specialist (Supporter Engagement Strategy) manages the PFP elements for delivering on the Supporter Strategy, connecting the work of PFP and ICTD, and supporting the SES Coordinator and the Chief of Individual Giving to deliver on the supporter strategy goals.

This role will report to the Supporter Engagement Strategy Coordinator with a second reporting line to the Chief of Individual Giving at PFP. It would require working cross-organizationally with active participation of Headquarters divisions, Regional and Country Offices, and UNICEF National Committees.

How can you make a difference?

Supporter engagement strategy coordination

- Under the direction of the SES Coordinator and the IG Chief, be the PFP lead on the coordination and implementation of the supporter engagement strategy.
- Ensure that the supporter engagement strategy provides for an integrated and coherent approach to delivering on organizational financial and non-financial goals in relation to individual supporters. Ensure that this approach is both data-driven and based on audience insight.
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager (Supporter Engagement) on marketing and management expertise and insight. Ensure that this has due prominence and visibility in the rollout of SES, and that decision-making is informed by data, insight, and testing.
- Work closely with the Digital Delivery Manager to ensure that the technical requirements of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), fundraising, donation, and engagement platforms are understood by and coordinated across all stakeholders.
- Work across PFP, with the SES Coordinator and the IG Chief across other UNICEF entities (Division of Communication, National Committees, country offices, regional offices, and other Headquarters divisions) to ensure all parties are pursuing the same goals/KPIs in a coordinated way.
- Act as Secretariat of the Supporter Strategy Steering Committee and the Management Team. This includes ensuring that key documents and budgets are prepared and coordinated across the program.
- Together with internal and external stakeholders, ensure effective communications to build visibility for the Supporter Engagement Strategy.
- Identify and monitor key performance indicators and maintain accurate reporting and analysis of the implementation of the strategy.

DELIVERABLES:

- Lead the ongoing delivery of SES as the PFP lead under the guidance of the SES Coordinator and IG Chief, and in collaboration with ICTD.
- Lead engagement, communication and reporting initiatives ensuring timely visibility for key stakeholders at HQ, Regions, National Committees and Country Offices.
- Ensure timely tracking of budgets and spending of SES investments.
- Support the development of PFP trainings for the use of SES Digital Platform in markets in collaboration with ICTD and the broader Individual Giving team.
- Maintained strong and excellent relationships with markets and other PFP stakeholders.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have?

Education:

- An advanced university degree in International Development, Communications, the Humanities, Fundraising, Business Administration, Social Sciences, International Relations, or the equivalent.
- Alternatively, a first-level University Degree in a relevant field combined with two (2) additional years of qualifying professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:

- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience is required, five of which should be in managing large-scale technology implementation programmes, coordinating projects, and supporter engagement/user experiences and journeys, preferably in a response-driven, multi-channel, cross-platform environment.
- Experience and proficiency in handling multi-stakeholder technology projects is required.
- Proven strong project management capability with experience delivering through others required.
- Experience working in global organizations with projects crossing multiple markets with different business challenges is required.
- Experience in marketing or advertising agencies is an asset.
- Experience and expertise with Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud essential and experience with Customer Data Platforms is an asset.
- Experience managing a budget is an asset.
- Fundraising experience would be an asset.
- Work experience with the UN/UNICEF is an asset.

Language requirements:

- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.

Remarks:

UNICEF PFP-Geneva is currently reviewing organizational changes; therefore, the successful candidates may be asked to commence duties remotely, and they may later be asked to relocate and be assigned to the final post-duty station/location in Berlin.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Appointments may also be subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid).
