\\n At our headquarters in Thalwil, we run our own Quality Laboratory, where we perform environmental stress tests and electrical verification for product qualifications as well as physical analyses of field returns, qualification failures and prototype devices. For our lab team we are looking for a motivated failure analysis engineer who would like to develop in microelectronics failure analysis or ideally already has experience in this field. He/she should be accustomed to handle complex instrumentation with a high degree of thoroughness whilst being used to solve unusual problems and apply combinatorial thinking on a daily basis. The successful candidate works in close collaboration with the quality engineers on the determination of the mechanism of failure by combining facts from the lab, measurements from R&D and data from production. In this way, he/she plays an essential role in the improvement of quality and reliability of u-blox\\\'s, as well as our customers\\\' products and production processes.

Conduct physical analyses in appropriate time-frame and quality using physical and chemical, destructive and non-destructive methods
Support company wide analysis requests with technical consultancy on failure analyses methods.
Compile PFA reports and submit the results to requester
Qlab equipment and methods
Take responsibility of specific PFA tools and methods
Organize training and documentation for the respective equipment
Organize and conduct regular maintenance, repairs and cleanings for laboratory equipment
Support evaluation of new analysis equipment for the lab
Develop and document analytical techniques and procedures
Secondary Tasks
Support organization of maintenance and repairs of lab infrastructure (air conditioning, humidifier, ESD installations, \\xe2\\x80\\xa6)
Support of lab management
Your Skills and Experience:
Bachelor- or master-degree in electrical engineering, physics, material science or similar discipline
Knowledge of material-science or semiconductor failure analysis laboratory methods including preparation of cross-sectional samples, micro-probing, optical and electron microscopy, elemental analysis techniques
Basic understanding of electric circuits and their elemental devices (transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors)
Ability of working independently on complex tasks in a timely way and Hands-on laboratory experience
High degree of self-discipline and strong organizational skills
Very good English communication skills, both spoken and written
Swiss or EU/EFTA citizen or resident with valid work permit for Switzerland
