The DePuy Synthes Transformation Supply Chain Leader is responsible for overseeing the governance, coordination, and successful implementation of the program aimed at simplifying our portfolio and focus on areas where we have the greatest ability to serve our customers and their patients.
The changes we plan to implement are part of a multi-year plan designed to accelerate growth, improve capital efficiency, and make our employees\\\' jobs easier with less complexity.
This role will collaborate closely with the Commercial DRI (Direct Responsible Individual), Regional Transformation Leads, Value Stream Leads, End to End Portfolio Management, Global Inventory and Finance.
Working together, you will co-create and execute the transformation plan, working towards achieving the Final Project Objectives within designated timelines and budgets.
This role will be held accountable for ensuring the smooth execution of the Supply Chain upstream and downstream aspect of the transformation, including manufacturing Capacity planning, inventory plans such as last time buys, bleed down & pull back, E2E planning systems signal management/readiness & collaboration with finance to ensure financial implications are captured and optimized. The role will establish and execute E2E program management and governance including resource allocation, milestone tracking, and reporting to ensure the program progresses effectively and delivers the intended outcomes.
Duties:
1. Governance and Coordination: Build overall governance framework for the transformation program, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders and managing effective communication channels. Safeguard confidentiality by following established information sharing processes and guidelines.
2. Collaboration and Co-Creation: Collaborate closely with the Commercial DRI, Supply Chain Value Stream Leads (VSLs) and Regional Supply Chain Transformation Leads to co-create the transformation plan, incorporating inputs from various teams while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Incorporate an integrated understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to anticipate cross-functional impacts, trade-offs, upstream & downstream interdependencies.
3. Own Execution Plan and Capacity Planning for the portfolio, identifying potential bottlenecks from VSLs, and providing support to the Commercial DRI on tradeoff decisions. Deeply understand Phase In - Phase out ramp up plans by brand and Markets to ensure the Region Transformation Supply Chain Leaders are always up to speed with latest Supply Capacity
4. Execution and Delivery: Provide clear inputs to net-requirements planning teams through deep understanding of regional Inventory pull back & deployment plans. Identifies and makes recommendations on different complex scenarios (Capacity, demand-supply balancing, product allocation, revenue) and identifies various trade-offs to prepare for and facilitate optimal decisions with VSLs and Commercial DRI.
5. Financial Management: Work closely with Finance to track project expenses, monitor CAPEX and Inventory deployment related to LCM acceleration throughout the execution of the transformation program. Develop a clear tracking of Transformation related activities vs Base Business.
6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to the transformation process.
7. Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders, senior leadership, and relevant teams on the progress of the program, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed actions to address any issues.
Qualifications
10 years + working experience either in Supply Chain (i.e., Planning, Manufacturing, Deliver) or Project Management.
Demonstrate a very good understanding of the entire Value Chain, and a keen understanding of how both commercial and supply chain decision impact the Customer and financial performance.
FPX (Flawless Project Execution) Training / Lean 6 sigma black belt.
Problem solving mentality and \\xe2\\x80\\x9ccan do\\xe2\\x80\\x9d attitude. Able to analyze multiple data sources in high pressure environment to give prompt recommendations & solutions.
Strong collaboration, partnering and negotiation skills.
Leading and developing high performing cross-functional and matrix teams
Strong communication skills, ability to articulate and simplify Supply Chain challenges to all stakeholders.
