About this job:

To strengthen our facultative underwriting team in property classes, we are seeking a facultative underwriter based in London or Zurich.

Your mission is the facultative underwriting and marketing for worldwide corporate property D&F risks.

About the role:

• Acquisition and growth of profitable facultative portfolio in allocated lines of business and markets
• Comprehensive analysis of facultative submissions including technical risk quality assessment, pricing, Catastrophe exposure evaluation, review of slips, wordings and R/I certificates
• Effective interaction with our worldwide broker and insureds client base
• Negotiation of terms & conditions with our worldwide broker base
• Active communication with other business units and departments such as accounting, claims, wording specialists, Cat modelling team, and Legal & Compliance
• Administrative tasks such as review and processing of contractual documents, premium monitoring, and data quality controls

Qualifications

About you:

• 3 \\xe2\\x80\\x93 5 years of experience in facultative Property underwriting / placement
• Advanced knowledge of landscape and market dynamics in corporate property reinsurance and/or insurance risks
• Good understanding of (re)insurance coverage specifics
• Basic understanding of D&F pricing methodologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to negotiate and create solutions, as well as develop strong broker and client relationships
• Strong collaboration skills also internally with colleagues and management
