About you and this role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for two Category Leaders located in Horgen, Switzerland! In this role, you will lead an organization in the development and implementation of organizational and commercial strategies for the Raw Material Tail Spend & Distribution or External Manufacturing spend. These categories cross over all Dow businesses so you get a Dow-wide view. You will provide leadership to the purchasing team and be accountable for team performance and results.
Responsibilities
Develop the Tail Spend & Distribution category and refresh the External Manufacturing strategy
Lead an organization in the development and implementation of organizational and commercial strategies within a category.
Lead a team of sourcing professionals, set priorities and allocate resources to deliver business objectives.
Demonstrate strong influential management skills and an understanding of business priorities.
Ensure the efficient and effective execution of the Global Procurement Work Process by Purchasing employees globally to meet business / functional partner and regulatory requirements.
Work with stakeholders to develop and execute a Purchasing strategy that balances supply reliability, cost, ESG in the short, medium and long term.
Qualifications
A Bachelor`s degree required, Master/MBA\\\'s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or other related field.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience.
A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in Switzerland

Tail and/or Distribution experience
Sound interest in Digital Capabilities
Manufacturing process experience
Previous sourcing experience.
