For our legal entity Vontobel Swiss Financial Advisers (Vontobel SFA), a US licensed Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), we are looking for a Business Risk Officer who will help support the team by managing the risks, whilst facilitating its growth.

Your opportunity

• You will be heavily involved in control documentation, execution, and remediation.
• You will participate in our governance, documenting our discussions to ensure transparency.
• With your project management skills, you will manage mini-projects, process improvements, audit preparation and execution, and records management activities.
• You will manage the supervision framework and individual performance and risk behaviour measurement methodology of SFA based on control results.
• You will automate controls, where opportunities are identified by you and your team, using your abilities to work with Excel scripts/PowerShell/macros, robotics (Automation Anywhere) or Python.

The ideal candidate brings:

• Process/product knowledge: you are familiar with banking processes and products.
• Outstanding communication/stakeholder management skills
• Basic project management skills
• Experience with automation and process improvement
• Coding or macro knowledge

The ideal candidate is:

• Unafraid to delve into meticulous detail, to document, execute, evidence, and communicate findings in a constructive and friendly manner with outstanding stakeholder management skills; enjoying overcoming hurdles to remediate own findings.
• Highly organized, possessing exceptional time management abilities.
• Highly motivated and fascinated to systematically learn about new SFA processes in detail, identify risks, assess magnitude, and document/communicate own learnings to others. You will participate in the annual risk and control self-assessment.
• Able to work well independently, and value a supportive team environment that will mentor you in your new role.
• Proficient in English; German speaking skills are also an asset.
• Knowledgeable about Excel (Macros/PowerShell).
