Reviewing and endorsing for client accounts
Exercising oversight over account-level risk in relation to Investment Objectives, Risk Tolerance, and other suitability criteria through the execution of the Daily Risk Management Review process
Monitoring and evaluating Suitability Surveillance Cases and similar surveillance reports pertaining to investment transactions
Regularly reviewing trade blotters and desk activities within the Investments organization
Evaluating and approving specific alternative investments, higher risk transactions, or intricate transactions either before or after promotion
Validating client MIFID professional status
Conducting routine account documentation and suitability assessments, encompassing cross-border considerations
Periodically assessing employees involved in the promotion of Investment Products, including Training & Competency evaluations
Managing and aiding in the resolution of complaints relating to sales practices or investment matters
Conducting intermittent surveillance reviews
Crafting presentations and materials for regular Governance and Control Forums
The role of Business Control Manager is situated within the EMEA Private Bank, reporting directly to the EMEA Head of Investment in-Business Risk. This position involves overseeing a team responsible for risk and control management by conducting an ongoing program of supervisory activities across a group of professionals including Bankers, Investment Counsellors, and Capital Markets teams
