\\n Agroscope is looking for a: Biotransfo Postdoc project - Mycology Research Group The Mycology Research Group develops innovative lines of research with the aim of sustainably controlling the epidemic expansion of fungal diseases. This includes (i) carrying out epidemiological studies, (ii) creating new biosourced fungicides, (iii) developing forecasting models and (iv) harnessing fungi in biodegradation and mycoremediation processes. Headquartered in Bern-Liebefeld (from 2025: Posieux, Canton of Fribourg), Agroscope is attached to the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research EAER. | -Biotransformation of selected natural products (using mixtures of enzymes or living organisms) -Monitoring reactions by UHPLC-PDA-HRMS -Isolating and elucidating the structure of compounds generated by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) -Managing the library of compounds generated for bioassay with the project partners | -PhD in Natural Products Chemistry, Enzyme Catalysis or Organic Synthesis, with substantial experience in structure isolation and elucidation -Mastery of bioinformatics tools for database management is an advantage -Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment (two specific laboratories on two geographic sites, Cantons of Vaud and Geneva) -Rigorous and methodical with data management. Ability to work independently, keen sense of innovation -Knowledge of two official Swiss languages.
