OPTIML is building the next generation of software for intelligent cost and CO\\xe2\\x82\\x82-conscious investment decision support in the built environment/ real estate. We spun out of ETH Zurich in fall 2022 and raised our $1.6m pre-seed from top-notch US & EU funds: Innovation Endeavors (San Francisco \\xe2\\x80\\x93 fund of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt) and Planet A (Berlin).
Our ambition is to enable real estate owners/ investors to create transparency on their existing asset portfolio base, support investment decision-making and renovation planning, optimize their asset and portfolio management and anticipate long-term regulatory compliance.
Where we currently focus our efforts
We have been ramping up our team significantly from the original 2 founders to nearly 15 employees in Business, Tech and Product. Thus, we currently ramp-up the company, develop and roll-out the strategy and \\xe2\\x80\\x9cbackbone\\xe2\\x80\\x9d to accelerate exponential growth.

Tasks
Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer on the foundational commercial strategy (e.g., GTM, marketing/sales/customer success funnel) and drive the setup of a professional B2B SaaS sales organization (e.g., marketing/ sales/customer success funnel) and corresponding processes (e.g., sales playbook) and tools (e.g., CRM)
Be a \\xe2\\x80\\x9cHunter\\xe2\\x80\\x9d - skilled at pro-actively generating leads through cold calling, blitzing, researching, and networking
Turn leads into prospects/ proposals, by demonstrating the product and leveraging your negotiation skills to close complex deals (licensed-based, ARRs, long-term)
Work cross-functionally bottom-up and top-down customer success, marketing, and product/tech to provide key market feedback and implications, and help shape our fast-growing trajectory
Support the customer success team post-sales with cross-/upselling, identify customer feedback and drive satisfaction (e.g., NPS)
Manage and track customer information, activities, pipeline metrics and accurate forecasts in the CRM
Build and develop a network of sales partners (e.g., implementation partner), channels (e.g., trade fairs) and networks (e.g., membership in associations/networks)
Build and grow a successful sales team (e.g., sales development reps and account executives), incl. upskilling and mentoring
Support expansion into new countries, adjustment of GtM to a new environment with different conditions
Requirements
You worked as senior B2B SaaS account executive, either for 5-7 years for a top-notch software player (e.g., Salesforce, SAP), are tired of \\xe2\\x80\\x9ccorporate ties\\xe2\\x80\\x9d (e.g., slow processes, regulations) and being stuck in a \\xe2\\x80\\x9cgolden cage\\xe2\\x80\\x9d (e.g., no ability grow or to follow your purpose, but a nice car and benefits) or for a startup/ scale-up (e.g., Celonis, N26) as one of the first members of the sales team
Your colleagues call you a \\xe2\\x80\\x9csales machine\\xe2\\x80\\x9d, eager to meet ambitious sales targets and to tackle any barrier to generate a lead, win a new or retain an existing customer
You have experience in building a professional sales team, leading and developing sales people, and professionalizing the setup and processes that enable a great sales organization
You are willing to take on a new challenge in a small, but fast-growing organization with a high degree of freedom and uncertainty
You gained relevant experience selling to investors (e.g., PE, Pension Funds, Asset Managers), financial institutions (e.g., Insurances, Banks), real estate owners (e.g., Immobiliengesellschaften, \\xe2\\x80\\x9cBaugenossenschaften\\xe2\\x80\\x9d) or similar industries/ verticals with low level of digitization and long sales cycles, and have a network that you can leverage
You constantly push(ed) yourself towards extraordinary achievements (professionally and/ or in life)
You are passionate about making a meaningful impact towards Net Zero and tackling Climate Change
Your mindset is a pro-active, entrepreneurial personality with strong communication skills, that takes ownership, is not afraid to roll-up sleeves and get things done, while being willing to go the extra-mile

You are fluent in both, English as well as German (French is a plus)
