We are looking for a Associate Specialist Bioinformatics, to analyze genomics data (genome and transcriptome, obtained from sequencing technologies), and evaluate and develop new analytical methods, in alignment with the mission of the Genomics Group.

A Day in the Life of a Associate Specialist Bioinformatics
Deliver bioinformatics analysis based on short and long read sequencing technologies for projects as per OMP, with reporting
Develop, evaluate, and benchmark new analysis methods for genomics data with emphasis on genomes (genome assemblies, metagenomics, identification) and Oxford Nanopore technologies datasets
Propose/initiate new projects/activities
Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot analysis pipelines in an HPC environment
Provide reports and analysis information to support decision making regarding new genomics technologies
What will make you successful
Master\\\'s degree in bioinformatics or equivalent
5 + years of experience in Genomics data management/workflows/analysis, in Bioinformatics and in programming
Knowledge of programing or scripting languages (C, Rust, Python, Perl)
Experience in data interpretation
Understanding of scientific projects and biology
Understanding of molecular biology assays and genomics sequencing technologies
Networking skills paired with ability to work in team
Open, flexible and creative
Fluent in English
