About the Role

As our Graduate, you will become a part of our multi-cultural and interdisciplinary team responsible for structuring innovative risk transfer solutions, aimed to strengthen societal resilience and close the protection gap both in advanced and developing economies.

Your daily activities will include:

Develop analytics, structuring, and visualization of large datasets, crossing between underwriting performance and financial metrics (US GAAP, IFRS, EVM)

Close collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams to develop client solutions in line with Swiss Re risk appetite and market demand

Monitoring of the current and prospective future business environment relevant to PSS (with a special focus on Credit & Surety)

Understand business performance metrics and develop analysis from existing opportunities to track their performance in corresponding business divisions

Support the team in developing go-to-market strategy and marketing materials for transaction opportunities

By working closely with the business throughout Swiss Re Group, you will broaden and deepen your skills and expertise in at least following areas: Risk pricing, Risk modelling and Data Analysis.

About the Team

We strive to provide our clients with risk transfer solutions to reduce their contingent liabilities. These solutions range from non-traditional products such as cat bonds for pandemics to reinsurance coverages for SMEs for a changing climate. In helping our clients, we can accelerate economic development, improve risk awareness, and deepen social resilience.

You will join the highly diverse Public Sector Solutions team, the industries largest group solely dedicated to work on public-private partnerships. With a global footprint of 50 colleagues, the team is part Swiss Re Globals Client and Solutions division combining (re)insurance and solutions development making the world more resilient.

About You

Successfully completed university degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD degree) in fields such as finance, mathematics, economics, accounting, or finance IT

Outstanding customer focus and interpersonal skills allowing you to actively contribute to the team spirit as well as effectively connect with people in multinational environments

Ability to work both independently or collaboratively while prioritizing and multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical skills, ability to research data and transform them into applicable insights.

Digital literacy - proficiency in MS Office, above average skills in VBA, R, Python or similar.

Innovative, showing a high degree of own initiative, takes accountability and is a fast learner and curious problem solver.

You have an excellent command of English; German or any other language is an advantage

Previous experience in the field of or related to the financial service industry, credit, will be a plus (e.g., industry practice, internships).
